Shopping list

I've reached the point where posting my shopping list is becoming a bit of a chore so I'm not going to do it anymore. I won't shut down my blog but I will only post occasionally when I try a new recipe or product and that sort of thing. I might also occasionally feature an old favorite recipe or mention what I've been cooking.

  1. Linda, I've been looking at your site since the crazy days of "LowCarb Friends" and the Kimmer saga. Your recipes have saved me when making lunches for my finicky husband; he really likes the lasagna and Asian pork recipes. You should be very proud of your website and know that it has really helped a lot of people. Understand why you want to slow down, but I just wanted to let you know that all your work was worthwhile. Thank you.

    1. Thank you. I'll still be around. Feel free to use my blog to ask questions or comment on recipes, etc. I just don't do as much cooking for the two of us like I used to when our son lived at home. I usually plan to make two or three dishes per week and end up not making at least one of them because it takes us so long to finish the food that I cooked previously. My menu is constantly changing based on what's still left in the fridge. I will continue to plan a menu each week but that's just so I have some idea of what to buy when I go shopping.

  2. Hi, Linda!

I wanted to add my two cents as well. My husband and I are in our early 30s and I've followed your recipe website for years. I have to tell you it has really saved me from getting stuck in the habit of making humdrum low carb meals (such as meat and salad, in various forms). Even when we aren't doing low carb, many of your recipes are a staple in our kitchen. Family and friends always find them delicious. I always say, "This is Linda's recipe!" I've found your shopping lists to be interesting as well. I'm amazed at the price discrepancy between where you live and here in California! Because we're a family of two (so far!) I understand the difficulty of finishing up leftovers. I wish you and your family all the best. And thanks for continuing to keep the blog up for when we need you. Maybe in the future I can even commission a piece of jewelry from you!

    Thanks again,
    Megan

    1. Thanks for your kind words, Megan. I will try to poke my nose in here every now and then. I just remembered that I'm planning to try a new recipe in a few days so I'll probably post something about it here.
